TARC e-Learning: Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Resources for Local Governments

Come hear about the U.S. Department of Energy’s resources for local leaders. In particular, you will hear about the Better Communities Alliance (BCA), a collaboration with local government leaders, businesses, and institutions to improve the prosperity of American communities through clean energy technologies and solutions and the Outdoor Lighting Toolkit. Over a two and half year period, three states, six regional energy networks, and 16 cities committed to converting 1.3 million street lights with an expected annual savings of $48 million. Best practices in project planning and procurement, timely cost information, and performance-based success stories contribute to the culminating Outdoor Lighting Toolkit, launched in April 2017.
