Did you know that Texans with a visual, physical, or reading disability have access to a free library program? Sometimes, the act of curling up with a good book or magazine can be difficult or impossible. The small things sighted people take for granted like reading a menu on a night out or reading that bestseller from that one author. Thanks to the Talking Book Program (TBP) at the Texas State Library and Archives Commission, the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS), and new technology, there are many options available to help older Texans maintain the ability to read with access to books, magazines, and more.
