Older Americans Month Series #3
MHP Salud's Program Director, Shannon Patrick, will join us to discuss their ACL-funded Minority Technical Assistance Resource Center. She will introduce the Community Health Worker (CHW) profession and the CHW role in improving services to older Hispanic/Latino adults within AAAs. She will share examples of CHW-led programming for Hispanic/Latino communities and how CHWs may be utilized to reach other diverse communities. Finally, we will end by facilitating a discussion with attendees on how CHWs can improve outreach, engagement, as well as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in AAAs and similar organizations.
