The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness in local communities and trains members in basic disaster response skills. Lisa Rubey of the New Braunfels CERT will present how they use FEMA’s Incident Command System to enhance their team, leadership structure, and training goals. Lisa will also discuss the New Braunfels CERT Watchtower project and how emergency management personnel utilize it during emergencies and planned events.
