This is a temporary, part-time grant funded position starting December 1, 2019 through August 31, 2020. Duties include performing outreach duties associated with promoting the 2020 Census and Get-Out-The-Count (GOTC) activities to Hard-To-Count (HTC) populations in seven (7) target rural counties in the region; Coordinates outreach and 2020 Census education activities with Regional Services Director (supervisor) and the following partners: 2020 Census Partnership Specialist (PS), area Complete Count Committee (CCC), and volunteers; Assists with the coordination of media events; Works with area CCC, volunteers and agencies to distribute information on the 2020 Census to HTC populations. This position requires coordinating projects, workshops, special events and outreach efforts; Attending appropriate meetings and training; Making contact with and providing 2020 Census information to HTC populations; Perform other job related duties as assigned. Associate degree in Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, Liberal Arts, or a related field preferred along with four (4) years of customer service experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Bilingual preferred. Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Hours are flexible based on the need in the communities and will not exceed 25 hours per week. Up to three (3) positions to be filled and will work from the following HTC counties: Atascosa, Bandera, Frio, McMullen, Medina, Karnes, and Kendall counties. Pay Grade: 7. Salary $15.28 Hourly.
