This is a temporary position starting February 2020 through end of July 2020. Duties include performing outreach duties associated with promoting the 2020 Census and Get-Out-The-Count (GOTC) activities to Hard-To-Count (HTC) populations in seven (7) target rural counties in the region; Coordinates outreach and 2020 Census education activities with Regional Services Director, 2020 Census Partnership Specialist (PS), area Complete Count Committee (CCC), and volunteers; Assists with the coordination of media events; Works with area CCC, volunteers and agencies to distribute information on the 2020 Census to HTC populations. This position requires coordinating projects, workshops, special events and outreach efforts; attending appropriate meetings and training; making contact with and providing 2020 Census information to HTC populations; perform other job related duties as assigned. Associate degree in Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, Liberal Arts, or a related field preferred along with four (4) years of customer service experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Non-smoker. Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Hours 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., M – F, with flexibility to accommodate the needs of the persons served. Pay Grade: 7.
