Planning & Economic Development Manager
This position manages the agency’s economic development program and develops initiatives to support the regional economic development plan (EDA funded CEDS) working with the Capital Area Economic Development District board. Transportation, land use, housing and other growth and development issues are also managed by this position with the goal of tying them to economic development projects and trends in the region. Education: Bachelor’s degree from accredited university with major coursework in economics, regional or urban planning. Either a master’s degree in planning from an accredited university or an American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years’ experience working at a local or regional level on planning and economic development issues including data analyses and GIS mapping work.
Salary Range: $72,000 – $80,000
