Summary of Position:
The Capital Area Council of Governments-Emergency Communications Division is seeking candidates for a Finance Coordinator. Performs highly complex (senior-level) accounting and budgeting work. Duties involve preparing and/or overseeing of financial analyses and reports, coordinating budget preparation and monitoring, and overseeing internal controls for division’s accounting functions. Work also includes managing contracts, tracking revenues and expenditures as well as all financial transactions.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
Applicants must have a degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience with a focus on government finance and accounting operations. Experience with emergency communications 9-1-1 preferred. Microsoft Excel proficiency is required; experience with Abila MIP is preferred. A valid Texas Driver’s License and or other state driving license is required, the ability to work in the United States. Successful completion of a background investigation and maintaining favorable CJIS clearance is required.
$58,000 – $65,000 depending on qualifications.
