The VISTA Leader will be located in Austin, Texas. They will spend time working with the EDA project sponsor, their immediate supervisor, and their regional VISTA peers to expand and build the capacity of the individual VISTA members and their respective service sites. The VISTA Leader will serve as a resource on the VISTA program and for economic development principles (emphasized early in their training) for the VISTA team. It is expected that the VISTA Leader will develop a strong VISTA recruitment and retention program, strengthen the training and development of EDA VISTA Members, and track the impact of the VISTAs throughout the region; and in addition, will work to add value to the broader EDA district partner network.
