Air Quality Program Manager

The Air Quality Program Manager is CAPCOG’s staff lead for the Air Quality Program that serves the five-county Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown Metro area. The Air Quality Program Manager is responsible for managing air quality contracts for monitoring, emissions inventory research, and outreach. This position conducts air quality data analysis, prepares reports, and will serve as primary staff contact for the Clean Air Coalition and its advisory committee, coordinates regional air quality outreach, and will oversee implementation of the region’s voluntary air quality plan. The Air Quality Program Manager will supervise a staff of one to two part-time employees.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. Major course work in math, statistics, natural sciences, or communications is preferred. Master’s degree may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
Experience: Three years professional experience conducting similar work is required. Experience working with ArcPro or ArcMap is strongly preferred. Experience with content management software and systems is preferred. Ability to read, speak, and write Spanish is preferred.
Salary range: $60,000 – $75,000, depending on qualifications.
