Aging Services, a division within CAPCOG and also known as the Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area, is seeking candidates to be an active part of their team as Program Manager for the CAPABLE (Community Aging in Place – Advancing Better Living for Elders) evidence-based intervention. This position leads a team comprised of an occupational therapist, a nurse and a residential repair professional to implement a person-centered care plan based on participant goals related to mobility, medication management, and daily functioning. Work involves planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing evidence-based model to community dwelling older adults. Provides consultative services and technical assistance to program staff, government agencies, community organizations, or the general public. Serves in team lead capacity providing direction to others. Conducts physical and psychological assessments of clients and evaluates results and client goal attainment. The incumbent must maintain a valid Texas driver’s license, proof of insurance specified by the State of Texas, and dependable transportation.
- A bachelor degree in occupational therapy from a university certified by the ACOTE (Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education) or AOTA (American -Occupational Therapy Association).
- Certified by the National Board for Certification. Compliant with state healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Two years of experience working within a clinical setting, experience with community- based service delivery, program development implementation and oversight, including fiscal management, with supervisory experience preferred.
Salary range: $72,789 – $86,943 depending on qualifications
