H-GAC is looking for a qualified individual for the position of ADRC Administrator. This position is an integral part of the Area Agency on Aging and Aging and Aging and Disability Resource Center, which helps serve older individuals, caregivers, and those with disabilities throughout a 12-county region. The ADRC Administrator will oversee the development, ongoing operations, and strategic planning of the Aging and Disability Resource Center and the Area Agency on Aging’s Benefits Counseling Program. This position requires the ability to develop and maintain program policies and procedures, ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, and train and supervise program staff to ensure excellent service is delivered to the community. The ADRC Administrator will track and report program outcomes and develop program improvements and changes as needed. In addition, this position will also work directly with a wide range of community members and community partners through direct assistance and outreach. The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate a high personal integrity, and successfully engage internal and external partners to design, launch, and support projects that add to the Aging and Disability Resource Center’s and Benefits Counseling Program’s effectiveness and performance in the region. Candidates with extensive experience and a high level of understanding of aging and disability programs are preferred.
The successful candidate will have at a minimum:
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field of study
• Applicable experience may substitute for education
• Five (5) years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school or in job related duties
• Must be willing to travel within 12 county regions.
Preferred qualifications include:
• Master’s degree in Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field of study
• Eight (8) years of experience in quality assurance oversight and reporting or in aging programs and the Area Agencies on Aging network
