The Capital Area Council of Governments is seeking a 9-1-1 Senior Project manager who will manage and coordinate the implementation and installation of new 9-1-1 call handling equipment and network throughout the CAPCOG — Capital Area Emergency Communication District — 10-county region. The region comprises of 31 supported PSAPs/ECCs with more than 250 call handling positions in metropolitan and rural jurisdictions. Experience: Minimum five years’ experience in telecommunications project management or IT project management in a progressively lead role over multiple concurrent projects is required. A list of required and preferred certifications are in the job description.
Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in telecommunications, information systems management, project management, public safety or related fields required; work experience may substitute.
Pay range: $83,000-$95,000
