SUMMARY:TARC e-Learning: Bicycle Tourism Trails Study
DESCRIPTION:The TxDOT Public Transportation Division (TxDOT-PTN) Bicycle and Pedestrian Program and its consultant\, CH2M\, are working with their Bicycle Advisory Committee (BAC) to conduct a Bicycle Tourism Trails Study (BTTS). The goal of this study is to identify a proposed statewide network of bikeways. During this webinar\, TxDOT and CH2M staff will provide regional councils an outline of the BTTS and discuss how\, using an interactive\, online map\, regions can provide valuable input on the proposed plan. Following the webinar\, regions will have the opportunity to review route locations\, share their local knowledge of existing and planned bikeways and bicycle tourism destinations as they relate to BTTS Conceptual Route locations\, and comment on specific changes they would like to see to the proposed plans. \nFor more information on this webinar\, contact Kimberly Lile.
