The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is seeking a “Sr. IT Manager – Applications” for the Research & Information Services Department (RIS). Position is responsible for management, development, maintenance and support of technology solutions for the NCTCOG. This position leads/oversees the three Applications teams (Development, Solution Support, and Database/GIS) and provides IT consulting, project management and vendor management services. This is accomplished by leading highly technical teams, supervising personnel, determining necessary staffing levels, providing project/vendor management services, meeting with stakeholders and recommending/implementing technology solutions to meet business needs. Other duties include assisting with technical business solutions development/support needs, overseeing our enterprise environments and systems, and implementing business processes to ensure that RIS provides a high level of customer satisfaction and efficiently maximizes the use of IT resources.

- Experience with web/application development, Microsoft O365/Azure, database/GIS, and managing a variety of technologies is preferred
- Work is fast paced, dynamic, requires the ability to multi-task.
Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional and technical field normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years related work experience.
