Job Description: The purpose of this position is to provide complex administrative and clerical support to the Research and Information Services Department, managerial staff and/or Director. This is accomplished by providing customer service to the agency membership, the public and staff; processing information; directing committee, public, and staff meeting activities; coordinating travel arrangements; overseeing departmental records management services; coordinating special events; ordering information technology equipment, software and services for the entire agency; maintain or assisting with maintenance of information technology inventory in the software provided; preparing presentations from notes provided from staff; assisting with the hiring process when filling new positions.

Required Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Productivity Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook specifically).  Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and CRM is preferred.  Advanced skill in maintaining department records in accordance with effective document management processes.  Advanced ability to prepare professional correspondence from notes provided.  Ability to manage ordering within budget and alert management if orders are requested that are inconsistent with adopted budget.  Ability to prepare departmental reports in prescribed formats from information received from all area of the department.  Requires a working knowledge of all areas of the department to provide appropriate service as requested from any workgroup.  Requires independent thinking within the limits for the agency policies and the use of judgment when completing assignments.  Knowledge of information technology department structure and activities is a plus.

Required Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years related work experience.
