This is a responsible, non-supervisory position. The successful applicant will complete psychometric assessments and prepare narrative reports in order to establish eligibility for individuals who are seeking State supported services for individuals with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities. Duties include conducting Diagnostic Interviews; administering and interpreting individual intelligence tests and adaptive behavior inventories; reviewing and making endorsement decisions regarding eligibility determinations from outside the Agency in accordance with the Texas Administrative Code, Best Practices Guidelines and the DSM-V. The Psychological Examiner consults with program staff and maintains case files and needed documentation; and will consult with representative from outside agencies as appropriate. Assessments are conducted in a variety of settings and local travel may be required. Performs court ordered evaluations and testifies in court cases when necessary. Master’s degree or higher in Psychology required with coursework and practicum experience in the psychometric assessment of intelligence. Must be proficient in administering and interpreting a wide variety of individual intelligence tests and adaptive behavior instruments. Must be proficient in preparing comprehensive narrative reports. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. One (1) year of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities experience OR the equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Competency in bilingual (English/Spanish) assessment is an advantage. Performs other duties as required. Must meet criteria for CERTIFIED AUTHORIZED PROVIDER/AUTHORIZED PROVIDER in an exempt agency. This includes current, full, unencumbered license in the State of Texas as a Licensed Psychological Associate, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, Provisionally Licensed Psychologist, or a Licensed Psychologist. Must maintain licensure including meeting annual Professional Development hours training requirements set by TSBEP. Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Full- Time M – F 8AM-5PM, with flexibility to accommodate the needs of the individals and families served. Salary is commensurate with experience, this position is exempt . Qualifications
