If you answered yes, North Central Texas Council of Governments, the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Dallas-Fort Worth region is looking for you. Applications now accepted for the IT Manager – Infrastructure Services.

This is a working manager role, requiring candidates to perform all team tasks with extensive, deep technical knowledge, while training team members, managing projects and providing supervisory functions. On-call support rotation is a requirement.

Candidates will lead the Infrastructure Services IT team which includes LAN/WAN, server, virtualization, Active Directory and 3rd level customer support functions; ensure service availability; collaborate with stakeholders to develop and manage effective processes; help establish, measure and report on metrics and resource utilization; accurately create and lead life-cycle administration, maintenance and replacement of infrastructure; effectively plan and execute staff training and skill-set knowledge; establish customer satisfaction and engagement guidelines; coach & mentor staff to exceed expectations in delivering high quality results; grow a highly effective, supported, integrated team with limited resources; provide highly technical and administrative daily interaction with team members and customers; manage team performance toward agency goals and high quality results; other planning, management and related activities in support of organizational goals.

Required Skills
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related field of study or equivalent work and management experience in the enterprise technology industry. Strong enterprise network, telephony, Hyper-V and Windows domain/server experience is critical. Candidate must possess strong relational; communication; computer; critical thinking; problem solving skills; the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Providing personal transportation to/from a wide variety of North Central Texas worksites is required.
Required Experience
 Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related field of study or equivalent work and management experience in the enterprise technology industry and 5-7 years of related experience.
