This is a responsible, supervisory position that will supervise and provide technical assistance to other staff members in the clinical services division; to monitor program contract compliance. Responsible for conducting staff performance reviews; Responsible for recommendations regarding hiring decisions, promotions and terminations. Responsible for implementing new production targets, performance metrics and processes as these are developed. Duties include supervising unit staff; providing technical assistance; leading and managing daily operations; conducting reviews for consumers enrolled services programs. Supervises and provides technical assistance to Services. Specialists and other division personnel; The Team Leader is the communication link between IDD Services coordination specialists and management; Disseminates information to the team and forwards information to the manager in a timely manner. Works closely with team members to resolve customer problems and reports as required on performance, issues and resolution Reviews all paperwork, services encounter data, and person directed plans for accuracy and timely submission; tracks, submits ideas and solutions for services or compliance issues based on their observations and analysis; Responsible for supporting administrations performance initiatives by monitoring staff’s compliance measures, AACOG’s policy and procedures, and ensuring appropriate allocation of resources. Specific responsibilities include; Monitoring enrollment and ensuring accurate and timely submission of documentation, daily activity using GPS tracking reporting mechanisms to ensure appropriate resource allocation and staff accountability during work hours; Monitoring staff appointment calendars and services data to ensure standards and measurements meet or exceed departmental standards. Monitoring contract requirements to meet and exceed performance standards in complying with timelines, service coordination responsibilities to monitor and direct services on the person directed plan for outcomes and non-waiver services, emergency services and maintaining current records as specified by the performance contract. No less than monthly, provide feedback, coaching or counseling to every employee so they will have the ability to exceed performance standards or be able to correct their weak areas to succeed. Conducts reviews for consumers enrolled in services programs, including monitoring for compliance in maintaining Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) performance contract activities; Generates reports and performs contract monitoring activities for unit; Reviews time studies submitted by team members for accuracy and completeness and submits time study forms. Bachelor’s Degree, Behavioral Sciences or related field, Three (3) years IDD services experience. Access various software programs to document the most up to date consumer information, monitor services & avoid duplication of services per consumer as best as possible by using programs such as: CARE, Q-Continuum System, C-SIL & SASO Quality Assurance Review in order to meet HHSC Criteria for: Person Directed Plans, Funds Authorization & Utilization through the Individual Plan of Care and Direct Svc. Encounter Notes; Reviews time study to optimize ALA Reimbursement through Medicaid Administrative Claiming; Conduct monthly training to provide updates & refreshers to maintain HHSC and ALA standards; Improve on and ensure the quality of, as well as the user friendliness of, forms and letters used by the IDD Department. This is an exempt position. Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation required. AACOG Business hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 PM. M-F. Pay Grade 12, open until filled.
