This is a responsible, non-supervisory position. Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to, the following: Facilitating the Clean Cities program; Maintaining Clean Cities’ networks of local stakeholders and providing technical assistance to fleets; Promoting alternative and renewable fuels, idle-reduction measures, fuel economy improvements, and emerging transportation technologies; Coordinate activities to achieve project objectives; Track and disseminate information regarding the performance of projects; May perform administrative tasks such as quality assurance planning, and task associated with government reporting. Ensure program deliverables are completed satisfactorily and within the established timeframe; Assist with and develop program work plans; Contact and meet with administrators of businesses and other organizations to inform them of the Clean Cities and rideshare matching programs and Commuter Benefits; Assist them to establish commuter programs and to inform employees about them through presentations and other means; Promote program objectives at relevant public events; Schedule, organize, and attend meetings, workshops, and conferences; Maintain partnerships that encourage the expansion of alternative fuel use and infrastructure, petroleum reduction, and the use of new vehicle technologies; schedule, organize, and attend meetings, workshops, and conferences. Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, engineering, chemistry, biology, or a related field study. One (1) to three (3) years of public or corporate engagement, public outreach, community relations, program promotion, and communications experience in a business or educational environment, workgroup management, program growth, and experience working with alternative fuel transportation issues. Experience in making “cold calls,” and/or working directly with higher-level business administrators would be considered a plus. AACOG business hours 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. M-F. Pay Grade 10.
